Keshia has been passionate about natural forms of health care since a young age. Discovering hatha yoga practices around the age of 15 began to open up a sense of physical strength and empowerment in overcoming negative thought patterns. Having grown up on Kootenay Lake in such a stunning region of the world, it’s hard not to be influenced by nature and be curious about what she has to offer.
Yoga practices, as well as walking and hiking, continue to serve as Keshia’s main spiritual and physical practices.
Massage therapy has been a way to learn about the physical body and also a beautiful way for Keshia to serve the community and deepen her connection and understanding of all sorts of individuals, with the myriad of musculoskeletal and stress-related concerns that present in the massage therapist’s clinic.
Chinese Medicine provides Keshia with practical tools that can have lasting effects on re-routing constitutional patterns that have gone off balance. The study of Chinese Medicine is endless in its scope, and Keshia is most recently excited about the use of classical formulas and how they can provide legitimate internal medicine options to the community. She is also exploring the combination of acupuncture & cranio-sacral therapy, which prove to be complementary in their approaches and effects.
